Etive Ecology Ltd is an independent ecological consultancy, offering bespoke services for all manner of schemes. From large scale infra-structure projects to small scale residential extensions and everything in between. Habitat
Surveying

We can undertake Industry-standard Extended Phase 1 Habitat and UKHab Surveys.
We offer the full range of protected species surveys – GCN, bats, breeding/nesting birds, badgers, otters, water voles, reptiles – undertaken by experienced and licensed surveyors.
Appraisals & Reporting

We can undertake Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and associated reporting, including Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA).
The latest requirements for Biodiversity Net Gain can also be included with our scope of works, as we have delivered a number of non-statutory BNG schemes already.
Licencing and Management

We can obtain European Protected Species licenses where required. We can also prepare and help to deliver mitigation strategies and Habitat Management Plans.
Etive can also provide experienced Ecological Clerks of Work, to support your on-site development activities.

About Etive
Etive Ecology was established in 2012 by
Russell Grey and Maddy Warriner. Russell and Maddy built their experience with a number of large multi-disciplinary consultancy firms before breaking away to set up Etive.
Both Russell and Maddy are full members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and Russell is also a Chartered Environmentalist with the Society for the Environment.
The company has grown based on their excellent
client-focussed approach and solution orientated thinking.
Etive offer their services across the whole of the UK and have offices in Wirral and Perthshire.
Russell also undertakes volunteer work for a number of local organisations, including the undertaking of habitat enhancement measures, vegetation management, GCN/bat surveys and bat walks/talks.
